- Identification and early diagnostic of the skin lesions and tumors (beauty spots, seborrheic keratoses, malignant skin tumors)
- Dermatoscopy or surface microscopy is a quick non-invasive method of in-vivo diagnostic of the pigmentary skin lesions. The advantage is the diagnostic without biopsy.
- This method allows the viewing of the morphologic elements of the skin lesions and tumors. The physician is thus provided with the possibility of increasing the skin lesions diagnostic accuracy. Initially, the method was used in the diagnostic of the pigmented lesions (beauty spots), subsequently it was extended to cover also the other skin lesions. Differentiations of the pigmented, vascular lesions, of the skin malignant tumors can be performed, and visualizations of foreign objects remained within the skin are possible.
