VASCULAR TREATMENTS WITH 1065 mm WAVELENGHT NdYag LASER is used for correction or removal of dilated or broken blood vessels.

Why do they occur?
The vascular dilations occur due to the loss in elasticity of the vascular wall under the influence of several factors. These are: prolonged orthostatism (in persons who stand up a lot), prolonged exposure of the area to various heat sources (sauna, hot baths, hot wraps), genetic factors (the existence in the family on direct line of persons having peripheral vascular disorders).

What complaints can be treated?
0,5 mm to 2,5-3 mm-diameter blood vessels of any color can be treated. The treatment addresses the veins or the superficial vein-ectasias on the lower limbs or to flat or tuberous (cherry) hemangiomas. Other pathologies treatable in this way are the couperosis and the diffuse erythemas (redness) of the face.

How does the treatment work?
By means of selective photocoagulation, that is the blood coagulation in the vessel under the action of the LASER fascicle. Simultaneously, the inner wall is destroyed and the vessel becomes non-functional. The fine blood vessels disappear on the spot, while the thicker vessels are completely eliminated within 6-8 weeks.

What are the risks?
After the treatment, the area is red until the next day, and some ecchymoses (bruises) may appear. The treatment is recommended to be performed by qualified and experienced medical staff.

The recovery period?
The patients will not require recovery period, they can resume their usual activity immediately after the treatment. However, it is recommended to avoid the exposure to sunshine or solar of the treated area, until the total disappearance of the residual marks.

The results of the treatment
In some of the cases, the treated vessels disappear after the first session, in others a second treatment is required for the correction of the area.

Is the treatment painful?
The treatment is very well tolerated by patients, no anesthesia whatsoever being required.

Post-treatment care?
Avoid exposure to sunshine of the treated area, or apply cream with high SPF and administer a general therapy with veno-tonic medicines to prevent relapses in cases requiring it.
